| Microsoft has revealed more figures that Xbox 360 sales have doubled in Europe since it cut the price of the console last month. |

Microsoft reckons its console is number 1 in Europe, the Middle East & Africa, as it owns 42% of the market in terms of life-to-date sales.
This isn't a big surprise though, after the report that the sales did boost in the UK, after the big price drop. The attach rate of 7 games per console is quite high; the PS3 only manages 3.8 & the Wii just 3.5. This also means piracy isn't an issue for the Xbox 360, although it's easy to hack the console & copy game discs.
"Xbox 360 is truly the next-generation console of choice among consumers, and today's numbers are proof that we are delivering on our commitment to achieve critical mass in Europe," said Chris Lewis, Xbox Europe. | |
