The TCL THBD-1008 will be sold along with 6 free English CBHD movies and 8 Chinese-language titles. This player can also play back DVD discs and MP3 files.
While this player is less expensive than comparable Blu-ray Disc players, it is unlikely to become popular in the UK because of the lack of choice in CBHD format English titles. Most customers will be probably Chinese speaking people living in the UK.
The player will be sold at at GBP259.99 (286 Euro/US$425).
