One of the 1st WHDI devices will apear on the market; the Sony DMX-WL1T. WHDI is technology that provides a high-quality, uncompressed wireless link.
|

Last year Amimon introduced their WHDI chipset. This technology provides a high-quality, uncompressed wireless link which can support delivery of equivalent video data rates of up to 3Gbps (including uncompressed 1080p) in a 40MHz channel in the 5GHz unlicensed band between a HD source & a HD capable tv.
The DMX-WL1T from Sony features 4 HDMI inputs, 1 component input, 1 digital audio input & a stereo analog input. Probably the DMX-WL1T will only work with DMex capable Bravia televisions. As usual from Sony a proprietary technology.
This product will probably debut in September or October, after the IFA in Berlin, Germany. The price is not known yet. | |
