Canon introduces their latest digital SLR camera, the EOS 500D. This is not an ordinary digital SLR camera, because this one can shoot in full 1080p & 720p high definition video.

The EOS 500D offers a resolution of 15.1 megapixel, other features include an ISO range of up to 3200 & expandable up to 12800, 3-inch ClearView LCD, DIGIC 4 processing to reduce image noise HDMI output & a range of Canon accessories.
It's not known yet what kind video file formats are used, but it will probably be the AVCHD format, which is used on HD camcorders.
The body alone will cost about 935 Euros & will be available from May this year.
