CRT TVs face bleak future, Plasma & LCD TVs sales is booming |

 | Sales of Plasma & LCD TVs grew by 90% in the 1st quarter of this year compared to the previous quarter & by 41% compared to last year. |

Samsung is the biggest brand name for global television shares, but that doesn't mean it only shipped flatscreen TVs. iSuppli (Market research firm) said that Samsung continues to ship large numbers of CRT TVs to developing nations.
According to iSuppli total panel shipments reached 2.4 million units in the first quarter of 2007. Asia Pacific remains the dominant region for set production despite the emerging trend to move production closer to end markets, like in Europe. Recently LG announced they've increased their Plasma panel production. | |
