| LG has announced the world's first (mass produced) Full HD 3D-capable monitor. Last year LG already anounced their first 3D HDTVs. |

This 3D LCD monitor spans 23 inches diagonally and features a nice minimal bezel, as shown on the picture from Akihabara News. The 3D technology is based on the “Shutter Glasses” technology, which is becoming quite common as shown by other companies like Panasonic & Sony for their 3D HDTV products. The panel adopts LG’s proprietary technologies such as “high performance 3D exclusive controller” capable of processing more than twice as much image data as other HD 3D LCDs and “copper bus line” to improve on the resolution and picture quality. In addition, the panel is able to reproduce both 2D and 3D images, meaning that users can switch back and forth from 2D and 3D modes. Sadly no more info is available, so it's still unclear when these monitors will be available, or how much they will cost. | |
