LG lowers LCD Panels production |

| LG the world's number 2 maker of LCD panels, anounced it would cut its panel production by around 10% until August because of weakening global demand of LCD TVs. |

"The output reduction will be around 10& level," said an LG Display spokesman. "The utilization rate should rise again from September."
The biggest LCD manufacturer Samsung ruled out a production cut, because it still had enough LCD panel orders.
Another reason why LCD demand is lower then expected is because of strong demand of Plasma TVs, according to the reports yesterday.
