New Panasonic R-series HDTVs with HDD |

Panasonic announced their new Viera R-series HDTVs, with built-in hard drives. The new R-series consists of 3 Plasma & 4 LCD HDTVs, with sizes from 17-inch up to 50-inch.

Plasma models
The TH-P50R1, TH-P46R1 & the TH-P42R1 have sizes from 42-inch up to 50 inch & all feature a 500 GB hard drive (about 91 hours can be recorded), which can record digital TV, with a bitrate of 17 Mbps.
LCD models
The RH-L32R1, RH-L20R1 & TH-L17R1 have size from 17-inch up to 32-inch. The 2 smallest models feature a panel with a resolution of 1366x768 & only the RH-L32R1 features a full HD panel. The LCD panels uses IPS technology. All the models feature a 250 GB hard drive, which can record about 44 hours.
These HDTVs will be launched in Japan this month, no details are known yet about pricing, or worldwide availability.
