Philips introduces Ultra Widescreen Cinema LCD TV |

| The Philips Cinema 21:9 is the world's first cinema-proportioned LCD TV & it will also incorporate the famous Philips Ambilight technology. |
The Cinema 21:9 boasts a 56” screen that is shaped in the 21:9 aspect ratio, so movies in the 2.39:1 format completely fill the screen.
In combination with Philips’ Ambilight technology - accurately matching on-screen content to extend the picture beyond the confines of the screen - Cinema 21:9 delivers the most completely immersive home viewing experience possible, according to the press release of Philips.
Philips will be shipping the Ultra Widescreen TV this Spring in Europe, no pricing details are known yet.
