Many consumers are unaware that Regular PAL broadcasts & discs are played at 25 frames per second whereas these films are typically shot and encoded at 24 frames per second for cinemas. With the 25fps format films are effectively speeded up and the pitch of the sound is raised. Pioneers technology should circumvent these annoyances.

The logo has already been applied to the BDP-LX70 (Pioneer's latest Blu-ray player)  & will appear on their new Plasma screens.

Luckily also other brands recognize these fps conversion problems, like Toshiba who also anounced advanced 24 fps technology, as mentioned in an article Toshiba will release a 24p update for their HD DVD players;
