| The world’s 1st WUXGA resolution DLP projectors - the F10 & F30 - are now being shipped by Norwegian manufacturer Projectiondesign. |

The F10 & F30 projectors are capable of producing images at a native resolution of 1920x1200 pixels in a 16:10 aspect ratio, a 56% increase over SXGA+, according to Biosmagazine.co.uk.
WUXGA is a popular resolution for high-end desktop monitors & laptop computers & is widely accepted as the resolution of choice in many industries. While 1080p is widely used for video-centric applications, WUXGA is a much better fit for the reproduction of computer resolutions. By providing more pixels on screen, it fits the native resolution of many graphics cards including high-end laptops. It is also backwards-compatible with UXGA at 1600x1200 pixels, making it ideal for upgrading legacy 4:3 aspect ratio systems to widescreen.
The main difference between the 2 models is brightness & configurability. While the F10 offers up to 3100 ANSI lumens, the F30 offers 4300, with more, and higher brightness models coming soon. While both models offer a selection of lenses - the F10 is available with both a wide angle and a zoom lens - the F30 offers a wide range of lenses covering 0.79 to 6.5:1 throw ratios. Additionally, the F30 features the Projectiondesign-patented DuArch illumination system for failsafe operation.
The F10 will cost about $10,000 (6320 Euros) & the F30 $14,000 (8850 Euros)
