| Sony has introduced their new HTPC, the circular Vaio VGX-TP1. The VGX-TP1 comes with a wireless keyboard, with electro-static touchpad & a remote control. |
This HTPC runs on Windows Vista Premium & is powered by a 1.83GHz Intel Core2 Duo CPU, 2GB DDR2 memory & a 300GB hard drive.
The VGX-TP1 can be connected via HDMI, DVI-D & VGA out. Wireless network connectivity is provided over 802.11 b/g. Surprisingly the HTPC has no Blu-ray drive, but only a DVD+RW drive.
Currently the VGX-TP1 is priced at $1,600 in the US (€1,170) it's not known yet when the VGX-TP1 will be available in Europe.
