New PS3 firmware adds extended MPEG4/H.264 support

Sony will release in the next few days, firmware 1.82 for the PS3. This is an update that enables the playback of AVC High Profile (H.264/MPEG-4) files.
The AVC High Profile H.264/MPEG-4 format is a high quality HDTV file format, which is widely used for HD content.
