Panasonic develops 4x DL Blu-ray burner |

| Panasonic announced that it's developing a Blu-ray Disc drive that can write single & dual-layer discs at a maximum speed of 18 MB/s. |
The Blu-ray burner could write a full 50 GB dual-layer Blu-ray Disc in less than 45 minutes, according to Panasonic. The breakthrough is a new laser diode that optimizes laser quality & can burn data at a faster rate without huge power consumption. The laser output will be about 130 mW. |
